Lanigan-O’Keeffe reaches men’s final at UIPM Pentathlon World Cup Cairo

Ireland’s Arthur Lanigan-O’Keeffe made a solid start to his season at UIPM 2020 Pentathlon World Cup Cairo after qualifying for the men’s final in 13th position overall.

Lanigan-O’Keeffe (28) finished third in his qualification group with 1,155 points, only seven points behind the overall top scorer, Aleix Heredia Vives of Spain.

The two-time Olympian from Kilkenny will compete in the men’s final on Saturday, a day after Natalya Coyle and Sive Brassil race in the women’s final, with the Mixed Relay closing the competition on Sunday.
