James Kennedy

BIO – James Kennedy

James Kennedy is the founder and chair of The Irish Polo Foundation. He served as Interim CEO of Horse Sport Ireland from 2016 to 2018 and was Chair of their Finance committee from 2012 to 2016. He is currently the Chairperson of NSAI.

He formed the Waterford Polo Club in 1983 and set up and chaired the Federation of Irish polo clubs in 2012 and played polo at Club and National level to 2016. He is a Horse racing steward with IHRB.

He is a great believer in supporting and involving young people in all sports and while he sees Pentathlon as a challenging Olympic Sport he believe it is very rewarding for multi-talented athletes.

James was a global leader of a US Multinational in Medical Devices from the 1980’s for 20 years.
