SPORTING BACKGROUND: Joined Glenalbyn Swim Club when I was 12. Played for Kilmacud Crokes Ladies Football team from age 12 to 22.Started Tetrathlon in my 2nd year of college (2009) at the intervarsity competition.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS: Represented Ireland at International Tetrathlon competition in 2010.

Represented Ireland at Senior European Championships and World Championships in 2014.

4th at Swiss International Competition 2015.

Selected as part of Irish team travelling to Senior World Championships and Senior European Championships this year 2015.

PERSONAL BEST:

Swim-1.19SC, 2.23LC.

Fence- 234. Ride-300.

Combined-13.21.

HOW/WHEN YOU STARTED Modern Pentathlon: I started Modern Pentathlon in 2012 at the end of my final year in college. I had competed for 2 years with Pony club tetrathlon and intervarsity competitions, enjoyed it so much I didn’t want to stop. Once you turn 21 you are too old for Pony club Tetrathlon so I picked up fencing and here I am.

SPORTING HERO’S: Zinedine Zidane and Istabraq.

FAVOURITE EVENT: Fencing

SUPERSTITIONS: I’m not very superstitious. A prayer and some music pre comp is enough for me.
