The Laser Run World Championships will be held in Trinity College Dublin in September 28th-30th, 2018 and will see over 450 competitors, from over 20 countries, compete in this exciting event.
Participants will start with a short sprint to the shooting range. From there, using a laser pistol, they shoot their designated target until they register 5 successful hits, or for 50 seconds, whichever comes first. They will then leave the range and run a circuit, returning to the shooting range for round two of the shoot. They complete this circuit four times alternating between running and shooting.

Open Championships
The Open Championships is designed for those just beginning their laser run journey or looking to try something new and exciting! It is open to everyone regardless of ability. The Open Championships take place on Sunday the 30th of September at Trinity College Dublin. The cost of competing is €10 per adult and €5 per child.

Charity Team Relay
Also as part of the Championships, Pentathlon Ireland are delighted to hold a Team Fun Charity event, with all proceeds going to the Laura Lynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice. We invite participants to compete in this event on Sunday 30th from 12. noon and to try out this fast growing sport. No experience is required for this event and all you will need is a pair of runners as laser pistols will be supplied. Entries can either be Team fun event – online Entry or made on the day but may be limited depending on numbers.
Teams for the charity relay will consist of 2 adults and 2 children (under 15). Each team member will shoot a series of 5 hits targets followed by 400m run around a grass track. Why not make it a family event and get all the family involved !
