Our Youth team enjoy a great weekend at Leweston competition

Our Youth team of Emily, Grace, John, Maeve, Patrick and Peter enjoyed a great weekend of training and competition at the Leweston competition in the UK last weekend. Ably supported by their super coach, Hanna D’Aughton, and the team managers / parents, Elaine and Julie, this team, all but one of whom were competing in their first ever Pentathlon event, fenced, swam, shot and ran their hearts out. Huge congratulations to them all, particularly to Patrick who won the bronze medal in the Under 19 boys event. Thank you to Mick Flaherty and all the organisers for a fantastic event. Not only did our young athletes represent Pentathlon Ireland well on the sporting field, they made many friends as well, even starting a good old Irish sing-song which the young British athletes joined in. Onwards and upwards for this young team!
